DevUpdate #122: Moving On Up

August 16, 2024

Hey everyone, lemmingllama here. With the 7.1 update introducing player titles and other improvements, we can now start to look towards the next update. Version 7.2.0 will have many general improvements, and today we’ll be looking at some changes to help with quality of life and player power for endgame players. Let’s get into it!

We have received a lot of feedback surrounding solo raid worlds, and one of these pieces of feedback is about how quickly players can progress through the worlds. New players or players who have sudden jumps in power via methods like the Forbidden Research can take several weeks to reach a solo raid world that matches their new power level. As such, we are changing Solo Raids so that players who complete a world will immediately move up to the next solo raid world, allowing for people who invest their time to move up until they cannot progress further.

Lastly for today, we are looking at the skill tree. With the repeating Transcendence seasons and more players entering Transcendence, player skill points have been steadily increasing. As such, we are going to increase the level caps of many damage and gold multiplying skills to help ensure that every skill point you receive remains valuable. To note, skills that are based around mana or speed, such as Limit Break or your Skip skills, will not be receiving a level increase as currently the availability of mana and skip is well balanced for everyone’s needs.

Thank you for reading! Next week we’ll continue to reveal what’s to come with the 7.2 update, including new ways to acquire player titles and other cosmetics.
