Hey everyone, lemmingllama here. With 2021 coming to a close, we’re going to start looking forward towards 2022 and all the fun new updates planned for everyone. The 5.11 update began our updates themed around raiding, clans, titans, and quality of life improvements, and 5.12 continued that trend as well. We’re doing great on this global raid so far! The next update, 5.13, will also be continuing these themes.
Just before we get into it, I want to mention that we are currently rolling out the 5.12.1 update to all platforms. Feel free to check your app store as the update should be available to download now or soon after.
To start us off, let’s talk clans. In the previous update, we reworked the clan UI to help improve the raiding and chat experience for clans. We’ll be continuing that with the 5.13 update by adding new clan stickers to help enhance the fun and communication you can have in the clan chat. Stickers can be sent by pressing the sticker button beside the chat box. These should help celebrate a grand achievement, welcome new members to the clan, or commiserate a close loss in a tournament.
If you have any heroes, pets, or titans that you’d want to see on a sticker in the future, please let us know! We’ll originally be launching with a few stickers, and may expand with additional stickers in future updates.
Now, as this update is right around the holidays, we are also looking to cross off some smaller quality of life improvements that have been requested by the community that can be completed in-between vacation days. Here are some of the improvements coming in the next update!
During server maintenance when we are releasing an update, players were met with a somewhat unfriendly message about the server maintenance. We’ll be updating this screen to be a bit more friendly, and to add a link to the Tap Titans 2 subreddit to help people continue to discussion even when you can’t tap on the titans.
Playing the game with sound can be a very nice experience, as there are some unique sound effects like the Fairy Bell that help players know when there are things to tap. However, currently a lot of the sounds are lost in the mix with a few strong sounds. In the 5.13 update, we’ll be tweaking the volume levels of sounds, especially Gold Coins and the Lightning Strike sounds, to help better balance the soundscape of Tap Titans 2 and make the world more acoustically pleasant.
Lastly, we have heard many players request a feature to disable or toggle certain quick time events, as they don’t directly benefit their chosen damage or gold sources. We are going to be tackling Summon Dagger this update and tweaking it so players not using the Dagger damage source or otherwise benefitting from daggers will not have daggers showing up and obstructing the titans. Overall, this will help ensure that players who can benefit from daggers spawning will continue to see their daggers, such as players using Daggers as a damage source or Poison Edge as a damage boosting skill, but players who are investing in other skills will no longer need to tap on daggers that are not beneficial to them.
Thank you all for reading, and I hope you’re excited for the changes coming. We hope you all have a Happy New Year and are ready to tap some more titans in 2022!
Happy Tapping!
