Hey everyone, lemmingllama here. Last week we discussed the continued reworks around Clans and the beginning of the reworks for Equipment. Today we’ll be continuing to explore changes to equipment, both in a rework and with a new set. Let’s get into it!
To go alongside the equipment code reworks in progress, we are also reworking the Crafting Panel. Completed equipment sets will automatically be sorted to the bottom of the crafting panel, allowing for easier viewing of the incomplete sets. A recently completed equipment set will still be sorted to the top with a notification, and will be sorted down to the bottom once that notification is cleared. This should help increase the readability of the Crafting panel.
We are also introducing a new Legendary equipment set, the Scribble Demon. Scribble Demon is a set focused around the Forbidden Contract and Royal Contract skills. The first bonus will boost the primary effect of those contracts, raising the damage bonus of Forbidden Contract and the gold bonus of Royal Contract. The second bonus will decrease the cooldown of the contracts, allowing you to sign away your mana faster than ever before.
Lastly, we have been making some other back-end changes to allow for smoother introduction of features in the future. Hero Ascensions have been something we’ve been manually adding as needed, with new visuals and balance for each ascension. We have made some changes to allow for these to be created programmatically now, allowing for infinite hero ascensions. This will smooth out any future max stage increases, as well as ensures that we always have new ascensions ready for players to use. After the current six hero ascensions are completed, it’ll cycle back to the visuals of the first ascension.
Thank you for reading! The 5.28 update does have a lot of focus on more back-end changes, but all of these changes will allow for smoother development into the future. Tap Titans 2 is an older game, and taking the time to improve our code quality and rework older code allows for us to release fast and quality updates to you all for the future. Next week we’ll continue to delve into these back-end changes, including some optimization improvements to help the game run smoother than before!
Happy Tapping!
